• BCIS—Buddy & Columbia International School is currently seeking to hire at least 1 Full-time teacher ASAP!!! We currently looking for just the right person to fill this demanding yet exciting position. Our new location in Tokyo is in Setagaya-ku, located a short walk from Hachimanyama Station (Keio LINE)  Requirements for this position: • At least 3 years of teaching small children (ages 2 and up) • Native Speaker of English AND must have gone to all 12 years of school (elementary through high school) in ENGLISH!! • Must have provable teaching experience with children. • The ability to speak Japanese at a high intermediate to low business level • The ability to work independently without direction. • Self starter (taking on tasks that need to be done without being told) • Two years curriculum development experience • Bachelors degree is required and all degrees will be verified  Desirable Qualities or Skills; • Education degree and/or teaching license is a must (Master in Ed is preferred). • 5 years of experience as a homeroom teacher in home country or at international schools globally. • Native speakers of English (semi-native fluency is not accepted). • Certified to work as elementary school teachers in US/Canada • Experience with Canadian / American curriculum is a plus. • Other office skills to help with office personal when needed. • Technical writing and translation from Japanese to English when needed • Japanese Drivers License Holder and/Or Home country’s Drivers License with a valid International Driving Permit • Currently living in Japan Applicants that are already in Japan will be given priority over those NOT in Japan at this time. However, for overseas applicants with the right background, a can-do attitude, and who can meet and exceed qualifications will be desirable. Visa sponsorship is available.
