Metropolis Classifieds FAQ

Posting an ad is done in the same way in any section, with only a few differences in style. To begin with, if you don't have a Classifieds account, you'll have to register (see "Accounts"). Once you're registered, follow the instructions below:

1. Log in. The username and password fields are in the top right-hand corner of the Classifieds top page. If you have password trouble, see "Accounts".

2. Click on the "Post Ads" link on the top right-hand side of the page.

3. Choose either "Individual" or "Commercial Enterprise".

4. Choose a category. Please note that blue and red categories require payment.

5. Fill in the information, making sure not to miss any fields marked with a red asterisk.

6. Create a map, and attach photos or a YouTube link if you so desire. Please do not attach any explicit photos or video links. Doing so could result in your ad being deleted.

7. Preview your ad. If changes are necessary, click "modify," if not, click "Post" (free ads) or "Proceed to Payment" (paid ads).

8. For paid ads, choose your preferred method of payment (bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal), and fill in the necessary details. Follow the directions for payment and the remaining directions for posting.

Your ad will not appear online immediately. Please allow one to two business days for approval. In exceptional cases, approval could take longer, most often after a long stretch of holidays (for example, New Year's). Please be aware that our office is closed on weekends and national holidays. As such, ads will not be approved until business resumes.
